Elimination Diet to uncover food intolerances:
Do you have chronic stomach issues like diarrhea, constipation, bloating, or migraines/headaches, low energy or brain fog? Food is most likely the culprit here, and we can uncover what foods are causing these issues. In order to do so, an elimination diet first needs to be put into place. An elimination diet involves eliminating the most common food intolerances (dairy, gluten, soy, eggs tree nuts, peanuts, fish) for two weeks (it’s not as bad as it sounds!!). We will then assess how you feel (which I promise, will be amazing), and then systematically reintroduce each food back into your diet and take note of any symptoms that occur. You will report all symptoms and feelings of ill or well being thoughout each reintroduction to me, and I will be here to hold you accountable, motivate, and advise you. Throughout this process, it will become very apparent what foods are causing you harm.
This includes an initial meeting, email support throughout the elimination phase, a second meeting after the elimination phase, a detailed reintroduction plan, foods that you can eat based on your preferences, email support throughout the reintroduction phase, and a third meeting where I will provide you a full report and recommendations on how to best eat for YOU moving forward. At this time, based on your health goals, you can chose to purchase additional sessions with me to continue on your health journey.
Known Food Allergies/Intolerances for you or family member:
Have you or your child just learned you have an allergy or food intolerance? If so, the whole family has to adjust how they cook and eat both in the home, and out at restaurants. Whether it is due to celiac disease, lactose intolerance, an egg, peanut, tree nut, soy, fish, fructose, or you name it allergy, I will guide you through this transition, which can be challenging and emotional for everyone involved. We will discuss how you can replace the food(s) with safe and healthy options, recipes, tricky/hidden ingredients, safe dining out options and questions to ask, new recipes, etc. If this is for your child, depending on his/her age, he/she can be involved in any of the sessions as well! You will be given detailed lists of foods to avoid/foods you can consume, recommendations of how to incorporate new items into your diet, recipes, and a list of questions to be sure to ask when eating food prepared by anyone but yourself!
This will consist of at least two sessions (and likely more depending on your needs). This can also include a home pantry visit to ensure all the “danger” items are purged of and safe options are replaced, and a grocery store visit with a focus on substituting new, healthy food for any food that is no longer safe for you or your child to consume.
